
Dr. Shan'Tyia Hairston, DHA
Program Director
Dr. Shan’Tyia Hairston is a dedicated healthcare executive and behavioral health leader with over a decade of experience in mental health services, program development, and organizational leadership. With a strong foundation in clinical oversight and healthcare administration, she has led multidisciplinary teams across community-based behavioral health programs, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and client-centered care for children, adolescents, and families.

Dr. Hairston holds a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) and a Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) from A.T. Still University, where her research focused on health literacy and its impact on patient–provider communication and care outcomes in urban and micropolitan communities. Her academic work reflects her commitment to bridging systemic gaps in access, education, and service delivery within vulnerable populations.

As Program Director of Piedmont United Family Services (PUFS), Dr. Hairston oversees the strategic growth and operational excellence of behavioral health programs including Intensive In-Home (IIH), Mental Health Skill Building (MHSB), Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT), Outpatient Therapy, and community-based partnerships. Her leadership emphasizes workforce development, regulatory compliance, data-driven decision-making, and community collaboration to strengthen service impact across the regions served.
