
Tennille Jamison
LMHP, MSW
A proud Martinsville native, Tennille Jamison earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Virginia State University in 2001 and later obtained her Master of Social Work from Norfolk State University in 2015. With over two decades of experience in the human services field, Tennille has dedicated her career to supporting vulnerable individuals and families across diverse settings.
She began her professional journey with the Virginia Department of Social Services, where she served as both an Adult Services Social Worker and a Child Protective Services Social Worker. In these roles, she provided advocacy, crisis intervention, and protective services to at-risk populations. Tennille later expanded her impact within the educational system, working as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) in Rockingham County Schools’ Day Treatment Program, where she supported students with behavioral and emotional challenges.
Currently, Tennille serves as the Inpatient Social Worker for the Behavioral Health Department at SOVAH Health Martinsville. In this role, she provides comprehensive psychosocial assessments, crisis stabilization, discharge planning, and care coordination to individuals experiencing acute mental health needs.
Outside of her professional work, Tennille enjoys traveling, shopping, reading, and gardening. She is passionate about personal growth, lifelong learning, and contributing positively to her community. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
