Heather Carter joined Piedmont United Family Services, LLC as the Program Coordinator in July 2026. In this vital role, Heather oversees the day-to-day operations of assigned mental health programs, ensuring high quality, clinical fidelity, and alignment with funder requirements. She beautifully bridges the gap between administrative leadership and hands-on, client-centered support.

Heather brings a robust background in social and human services, with dedicated experience spanning mental health, case management, and community outreach. Her professional expertise includes building strong community partnerships and utilizing trauma-informed approaches to serve youth, young adults, and diverse populations.

Key Areas of Focus

• Program Operations & Compliance: Heather manages daily program schedules, participant intake/exit pathways, and data tracking to ensure full compliance with licensing standards and audit readiness.

• Staff Leadership & Training: She provides guidance, onboarding, and performance coaching to direct-service staff, interns, and volunteers. She also facilitates crucial staff training on cultural competence, crisis response, and trauma-informed care.

• Community Engagement: Actively representing Piedmont United at health fairs, schools, and stakeholder events, Heather develops outreach plans to cultivate strong referral networks and community partnerships.

• Client Care Coordination: Committed to holistic care, Heather assists with crisis intervention, care navigation, and linking clients seamlessly to vital community resources.
